INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT INTERNATIONAL MARITIME INSTITUTE, GREATER NOIDA

The occasion of 73rd Independence Day was celebrated with great gusto at International Maritime Institute at Greater Noida.

All cadets and faculty turned up in their smart uniforms early in the morning of 15th August at the Institute premises.

Flag hoisting at 2D campus at 0800 hrs was carried out by Head of the Institute, Capt Saurabh Varshney, followed by national anthem.

Then the entire contingent walked about 2 kms to Campus 1. All were full of excitement and raised slogans to express the love for the country. On the way they were joined by IMI band and cadets fell in marching formation.

The marching cadets were saluted by the Faculty prior entry to Campus 1.

The flag hoisting was carried out At Campus 1 at 0930 hrs by Head of the Institute, Capt Saurabh Varshney, followed by national anthem and patriotic songs by IMI orchestra and cadets.

Cadets were distributed sweets and refreshments and later organized sports competition between the cadets of campus 2 and campus 1.

To celebrate the occasion 73 trees were planted by the cadets in both the campuses.

Every one finally cherished the special Lunch ( Bada Khana) to bring curtains to the celebration.
